In the time since her debut album, Jennifer Hudson’s life has seen more ups-and-downs than most – no need to recant it all here. While it’s unnecessary for her new album to dwell in those experiences, most of her listeners are probably expecting those experiences, the good and the bad, to provide more depth on her sophomore album “I Remember Me”. Though Hudson shows up in style on her new album (both aesthetically and vocally), it’s the songs themselves that don’t really light any fires.
